On August 8th, 2023, Lahaina, Maui experienced a devastating wildfire, resulting in the loss of over 100 lives. 2,200 structures were destroyed, including the multigenerational Tamayo Family Home. Director Laurel Tamayo shares her family's story through this personal glimpse into the hours, days, and year after the Lahaina wildfire. 


Many have seen the shocking images and videos from the destruction of the Lahaina fire, but as news stories slow down many survivors are living in uncertainty. This documentary highlights the personal stories of Lahaina survivors, how a community finds strength and resilience through healing, and what it means to rebuild with care for the people and planet at the forefront.
